Gift Delivery Information
Once you have confirmed that your gift will support the collections of the University of Washington Libraries, you can deliver your gift to the main library on the University of Washington campus in Seattle. Choose the delivery location that best suits your needs. Use the maps and other information linked below to help you plan your trip to the campus. Please enclose a note with your gift that includes the name and address of the person, estate, organization, company, UW department, or other agency donating the material. In addition, mark each box or bag with the word Gift.
ALERT! Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, we will not be able to take gift deliveries at the Suzzallo-Allen Library loading dock after 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24 through November 29, 2009. The dock will reopen on Monday, November 30 at 8:00 a.m.

If you have more than a few items, you may want deliver your gift to the Suzzallo-Allen Library Receiving Dock. The Receiving Dock is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Libraries staff are available to help unload your vehicle and make sure that your donation is delivered to the Gifts Program staff. Please do not leave your gift on the Receiving Dock without notifying staff.
- We recommend that you enter the University of Washington at Gate 5, which is located at 15th Avenue NE at NE 40th Street. See the UW Campus Map to help plan your trip to the Suzzallo-Allen Library Receiving Dock:
- At the Gate House, tell the attendant that you are delivering a gift to the Suzzallo-Allen Library Receiving Dock. Depending on the time or duration of your visit to campus, you may be charged for parking.
- At the first intersection, turn right onto Stevens Way.
- Turn left onto Benton Lane. Benton Lane is the first street after you see the fountain on your left. It is located along the north side of the Paul G. Allen Center for Computer Science and Engineering. Benton Lane heads toward the center of campus and dead ends at the Suzzallo-Allen Library Receiving Dock.
- To alert staff that you have arrived, take the steps located on the right side of the dock. Ring the doorbell located next to door on the left.
If your gift is easy to carry, it can be delivered to the Gifts Program Office in Suzzallo Library or the Information Desk in the Allen Library lobby:
- Bus routes offer easy access to the campus.
- Convenient parking is available in the University of Washington Central Plaza Garage, which is located on 15th Avenue NE at NE 41st Street. Depending on the time or duration of your visit to campus, you may be charged for parking.
The Gift Program Office hours are by appointment, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. . Please call 206.543.1859. The Gifts Program office is located on the first floor of Suzzallo Library in Room 125. Enter Suzzallo Library at the west entrance on Red Square. Staff at the front desk can provide directions to the Gifts Program Office.
The Information Desk is open during scheduled hours. It is located at the ground level of the Allen Library (North Wing). The Allen Library is connected to Suzzallo Library.
