Libraries Media Center

Collections

The Libraries' Media Center collects and provides access to the University of Washington's main collection of audiovisual materials. Consisting of over 60,000 items on a variety of analog and digital formats (e.g., DVD, VHS, CD, vinyl), our collections cover a broad and interdisciplinary range of subjects and genres.

While most Media Center materials may be checked out and borrowed, some fragile formats (e.g., vinyl sound recordings) or unique collections (e.g., Crocodile Cafe Collection) may only be viewed or listened to in the Media Center. The Media Center, which is located on the Mezzanine level of the Odegaard Undergraduate Library, also supports the curricular needs of the UW by offering media reserve services for instructors and their students.
