Rate:

$9.32 per hour

Hours:

Up to 19.5 hours per week; schedule to be determined

Duties:

  • Assist library users with directional and informational questions in person and over the phone
  • Check books in and out for library users and perform other basic circulation processing tasks
  • Perform basic bibliographic checking and searching
  • Retrieve and process library holds
  • Shelve, sort, and shift library materials
  • Receive, unpack and sort incoming mail
  • Create library displays
  • Assist with library social media efforts
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent public service skills
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 40 pounds
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Must be a full time student or enrolled for at least 6 academic credits.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, and general aptitude using computer software
  • Ability to type 30 words per minute
