$9.19 per hour


Up to 19.5 hours per week.
Schedule to be determined, some weekends and/or evenings may be required.


  • Assist patrons with informational questions
  • Perform basic circulation duties (library materials check in/out, renewals, holds)
  • Retrieving and processing paged items
  • Sorting library items, shelving, shelf-reading, and shifting
  • Answering phones and assisting patrons at the public service desk
  • Processing newspapers
  • Photocopying, trimming, and editing library publications
  • Data entry
  • Basic straightening, dusting, and cleaning
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent public service skills; must enjoy working with patrons
  • Keyboard 30 words per minute
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Enrolled in six (6) or more academic credits at UW or CCC

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, and general aptitude using computer software

Other Details:

  • Work location for this position is UW Bothell/Cascadia Community College Campus Library
  • Will work up to 19.5 hours per week
  • May include working some evenings and weekends
