  • Under the direction of the Instructional Design & Outreach Services Librarian, provides training and instruction to Libraries staff on the use of online learning and production technologies.
  • Creates online tutorials for use by UW librarians and students in self-sustaining degree programs.
  • Assists in the maintenance of internal documentation related to instructional design and online learning tools.
  • Assists with the recording and/or delivery of events and webinars related to Education Outreach.
  • Contributes to other projects as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

    • B.A./B.S. degree required
    • Significant experience with online learning and/or production software, including at least one of the following: Adobe Connect; Adobe Captivate; Jing; Camtasia; iMovie; Adobe Premier; Final Cut Pro; Tegrity; or Canvas.
    • Experience with teaching or providing training in a professional environment.
    • Familiarity with electronic library resources and general library services.
    • Available to work some evenings and/or weekends.
    • Evidence of excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Enrolled in one of the graduate programs in the UW Information School or UW Department of Communication.
    • Successful completion of one or more courses in library instruction, instructional design, or pedagogy.
