Around 10 hours per week, depending on student schedule.

We need all shifts, including evenings until 6 p.m., and some Sundays 1 p.m.-5 p.m.


  • Checks books in and out for patrons at the Circulation Desk
  • Assists patrons by answering directional and informational questions
  • Uses the library catalog to perform basic bibliographic searches for patrons
  • Shelves book and periodicals, and retrieves library materials from storage
  • Processes incoming library materials for patron pick up
  • Prepares outgoing library materials for transit
  • Processes new materials for collection
  • Uses standard computer applications for routine/repetitive keyboarding and data entry
  • Assists in opening and closing procedures of the library

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong public service skills
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Punctual, reliable and able to commit to an agreed-upon schedule
  • Available to work some evenings until 6 p.m. and some Sunday afternoons
  • Available to work at through the academic year

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous library experience is helpful but not required.
