Rate:

$9.45 per hour (2014 rate, will increase 2015).

Start Date: 5 January, 2015

Hours:

10-18 hours per week, schedule to be determined.

Duties:

      • Assists users at public service desk in person and by phone
      • Monitor media editing/viewing space, assist users with equipment and multimedia editing software
      • Use library databases, web-based resources and standard computer applications to perform library circulation functions and answer quick information questions
      • Retrieve and check out media materials and equipment
      • Check in, shelve and organize media materials
      • Provide users with information about library and Media Center policies, services, and procedures
      • Perform routine repair, repackaging and labeling of media collection
      • Accept reserve and booking requests from instructors
      • May open and/or close unit without direct supervision
      • Other duties as assigned

          Required Qualifications:

             

                • Highly developed verbal, listening, writing, and interpersonal communication skills
                • Detail oriented
                • Excellent customer service skills
                • Dependable, with excellent attendance and punctuality
                • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision at times

                    Desired Qualifications:

                        • Relevant work experience (library, media, computers, customer service)
                        • Interest or experience with film, music, or video editing
                        • Available to work for at least 2 quarters
