Hours:

Up to 12 hours per week

Duties:

  • Assist library users with directional and informational questions in person and over the phone
  • Check books in and out for library users and perform other circulation processing tasks
  • Perform basic bibliographic checking and searching
  • Retrieve and process library holds
  • Shelve, sort, and shift library materials
  • Receive, unpack and sort incoming mail
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent public service skills
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Must be a full time student or enrolled for at least 6 academic credits
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 40 pounds

Desired Qualifications:

  • Availability to work weekends (1:00-5:00pm Sat and/or 1:00-6:00pm Sun) and evenings
    (shifts available Mon-Thu until 7:00pm)
