Improved UW Libraries Search Goes Live September 11

Search filters include type of material, author

We at the Libraries have heard feedback from faculty and students and have incorporated improvements to UW Libraries Search.

Starting September 11, you won’t need to search online for materials differently, but your search will be more intuitive, faster and display results more clearly and on one main screen.

  • Save and pin your favorite items, then send your list with one click.
  • Filter or search multiple sections at once including Material Type (journals, books, and photographs), Author, Publication date and more.
  • See and export citations with one click.
  • Get readings related to your search on a sidebar
  • Search on your mobile device more easily

Anne Pepitone, Libraries Resource Discovery and Library Management Systems Coordinator, says, “We’re excited to be working with peer academic libraries in identifying and coordinating our search to best serve our users, and appreciate the input from our students and faculty to guide us.”
