UW Faculty Join Elsevier Negotiations
The UW Faculty Senate voted unanimously on May 16, 2019 to approve a Class C Resolution expressing its support for the UW Libraries Licensing Principles and bargaining priorities in upcoming journal package negotiations with major journal publishers. As the Libraries navigate the changing landscape of scholarly communication, we will share information about collections needs, fiscal responsibility and the implications of contracts with UW Faculty.
We are pleased to announce four members of the UW faculty will be joining the Libraries negotiating team.
- Clara Berridge, School of Social Work
- Mary Hebert, School of Pharmacy and member of UW Faculty Senate Committee on Planning & Budgeting
- Trent Hill, Information School and Chair of the Faculty Council on University Libraries
- Theo Myhre, Law School and member of UW Faculty Senate Executive Committee
