Funding Resources at the University of Washington

• GFIS provides a list of UW graduate programs that provide funding through their departments.

• UW Graduate and Professional Student Senate - Funding - Travel Grants
  Travel funds are available to any graduate or professional student at the University of Washington Seattle campus.
  
  
• UW-Tacoma Funding Resources. The UW-Tacoma Library is a cooperating collection of The Foundation Center, a funding information center that provides a variety of publications, electronic materials and services in areas useful to grantseekers. UW-Tacoma graduate students are also welcome to make use of the UW-Seattle GFIS resources, including one-on-one consultations and workshops.


• UW-Bothell Grants and Funding Resources. An extensive bibliography of resources available at the UW-Bothell campus library is listed here, and all students are encouraged to use this list as a resource. UW-Bothell graduate students are also welcome to make use of the UW-Seattle GFIS resources, including one-on-one consultations and workshops.


• The Institute for Transnational Studies. The Institute encourages innovative research and teaching projects, and provides seed grants and assistance for research collaborations and related speaker series.


• The Undergraduate Scholarships Office offers information about scholarship opportunities and application forms for many of its links. • The Washington Technology Center supports commercially-promising research by teams of university members and businesses in Washington State.

  This new website provides a one-stop-shopping opportunity to find all sorts of information about research at the UW, including rules and regulations, budgetary information, intellectual property, and more.


• The Office of Research provides information about research policies at the University of Washington including the Royalty Research Fund.


• We suggest that all faculty entering the grant process read the information provided by the Office of Sponsored Programs located on their home page. On their website, you will find statements of UW policy regarding grant issues. They also have a Proposal Writing Guide that is very useful.


• The Research Highlights page provides information about some research projects done at UW.
