• Michigan State University's Grants for Individuals
  List of funding opportunities by academic level, population group, and subject.
• Cornell Graduate Fellowship Notebook
  A searchable directory of graduate and postdoc fellowship opportunities developed by Cornell University. Most useful if you are looking for information on specific programs.
• Graduate and Postdoctoral Extramural Support Database at UCLA (GRAPES)
  Searchable database for graduate fellowships and postdoctoral opportunities.
• UCLA's Scholarship Search Databases
  A wide range of online scholarship search services, including some specifically for graduate students (further down the list).
• The Institute for Humane Studies
  At George Mason University, a source for both scholarships and research grants for graduate students with an interest in ideas of liberty.
• Pacific Northwest Scholarship Guide
  Maintained by the nonprofit College Planning Network, serving students of the Pacific Northwest.
• The Federal Empolyee Education & Assistance Fund
  Provides scholarship money for federal employees and their family members. Graduate school scholarships are available.

Science Funding Sites

• National Science Foundation
  Research and education grants in most areas of science and engineering. The NSF does not fund individuals, therefore students have to apply for grants through their department or the UW Graduate School.
• GrantsNet
  Funding opportunities for training in the biological and medical sciences. Also includes a funding directory of over 690 programs with contact information.
• The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation - Research Grants
• Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education
• The National Academies
  Their Fellowship Office of Policy and Global Affairs administers predoctoral, dissertation, and postdoctoral fellowship programs in research-based fields of study.

Social Science Funding Sites

• The Social Science Research Council
  Provides research grants and fellowships in the interdisciplinary social sciences.
• Center for Civil Society International
  Sources of international funding.
• Political Science Grants and Funding
  A list of funding resources collected by the American Political Science Association.
• American Council of Learned Society Fellowships & Grants
  Fellowships in the areas of social sciences as well as other academic fields.
• Organization of American Historians Fellowships & Grants
  This organization offers a number of prizes in the field of American history.
• University of Chicago Anthropology Dept
  A fellowship directory for graduate students in the field of Anthropology.
• American Bar Association
  Provides a list of scholarships, contests, and awards for law students.
• American Bar Association, Commission of Racial & Ethnic Diversity

• Resources in Art History for Graduate Students
  A newsletter that lists grants, fellowships, internships and study abroad opportunities for graduate students in art history.
• Arts Wire, maintained by the New York Foundation for the Arts, offers access to a comprehensive list of resources for individual artists in the visual, media, performing and literary arts.
• Art Deadlines List
  A free email newsletter listing opportunities for artists, art educators and art students of all ages.
• J. Paul Getty Trust funds scholarship in the history of art, art conservation, and related fields.
• Metropolitan Museum of Art History Fellowships
  Resident fellowships to art history majors at both the predoctoral and postdoctoral level. Some fellowships are also available for travel abroad.
• Center for Advanced Study in the Visual Arts Fellowships
  Opportunities for study at the National Gallery of Art, Library of Congress and other specialized collections in the Washington D.C. area.
