ENDNOTE IMPORTS
These importing instructions can be used with earlier versions of EndNote,
however the EndNote Imports Versions 5 and 6 can be found here.
What is EndNote?
- It is a database for references, these databases are called libraries. References can be imported directly, or with a filter.
References can also be entered by hand
- It creates bibliographies automatically in Microsoft Word
EndNote at the UW Libraries
- EndNote 8 is installed on the Access+ workstations in the following libraries: OUGL,
Suzzallo/Allen, Engineering, and Foster Business
- You will need either a floppy disk, a CD-R or a Zip drive, to create a traveling library
- EndNote 8's libraries will not work with older EndNote versions
- Library staff can help find information about importing references from UW databases
or the UW catalog into a EndNote Library
- The directions below assume that you already know how to create a new library
and can find references in UW Libraries' databases and catalog

NOTE: The references imported from the catalog will need to be edited, since you are using a
