Wall jewelry is how artist Steve DoBell describes his paintings in mixed media on beveled panels. His artist's statement explains, "they are compositions of shapes, colors, lines, and forms, with grids or meshes imposed upon them. The grids both alter and define the compositions underneath, an effect which puzzles and pleases me. The small panels are beveled and gilded, and are presented almost as a sort of wall jewelry."
Steve DoBell works as a Technician III in OUGL Access Services.
The exhibit is on display during August, September, and October 2004.
