photographCelebrated local photographer Phil Borges, whose books Enduring Spirit(New York: Rizzoli, 1998) and Tibetan Portrait: The Power of Compassion(New York: Rizzoli, 1996) have won critical acclaim, shares his latest photographs from the Pakistan/Afghanistan border. Borges' portraits of the local Kalash people were taken just weeks before the September 11 attacks. The lecture and slideshow will be followed by a reception in the Odegaard Undergraduate Library, where photos are on display January 7 - 31.
