Libraries Unbound - CANCELED

For the health and safety for all our Friends of UW Libraries, the 15th Annual Friends of the Libraries fundraising dinner and author salon to support the UW Libraries has been canceled.

Support of the Libraries has never been more urgent as the Libraries have emerged as a critical informational resource. With the move to digital classrooms and remote research, the University Libraries have become essential for our students, faculty, and researchers. While the Libraries has the digital infrastructure in place to support this emerging need, we are striving to enhance these services to better serve this growing population of remote users. The Libraries is central in providing methods to provide our users with access to information. As this COVID-19 crisis changes with each hour, so does our need to do more to connect our community during this time.

Our available services are evolving every day to meet the needs of our community. You can find the most up to date information on UW Libraries COVID-19 Updates.

Libraries services are in high demand by students, faculty and researchers. Immediate need for funds supports the following COVID-19 related initiatives:

  • Robust Online consultations with faculty who are preparing for online classes next quarter.
  • $116K for additional e-books, enhanced streaming of media and more to help with remote classroom, student and other needs for at least the beginning of the new quarter.

Support for these initiatives through the Libraries Catalyst Operating Fund.

Please GIVE NOW to help our students, faculty, and staff maintain their studies throughout this period of social distancing.
